Mind Sticks

The magician presents a small chromium-plated tube with a matching cap and 5 wooden sticks of different colours. A member of the audience secretly chooses one of the coloured sticks and puts it into the tube behind the magician's back. The member of the audience puts the four remaining sticks into his or her pocket so that the magician really seems to have no chance of finding out which stick is in the tube. In spite of this, the magician will immediately be in a position to reveal the colour of the stick. If you like, the trick can be repeated immediately, everything can be inspected by the audience.
