Everyone knows the game: Rock. Paper, Scissors. This classic game has now been turned into an amazing mental trick!

This trick can be performed on its own, but it is also ideal as an introduction to an even bigger mental experiment.

The mentalist takes four A6-sized cards out of a paper bag. One card is set aside. This is the prediction card. No one knows what is on it. This card is not touched again until the end of the experiment. The other three cards are shown. The first card shows a rock, the second shows newspapers as a symbol for paper, and the third shows scissors.

A spectator plays along and is allowed to shuffle the cards to their heart's content. The performer will not touch the cards again.

Then the audience assistant lays the cards out in a row next to each other. He decides how the cards are divided. He keeps one card for himself, one card is assigned to the mentalist, and the third card goes into the paper bag. The audience member is not forced to do anything and is of course allowed to change his choice.

Once this has been done, the cards are turned over and the prediction is read aloud. In fact, the prediction states quite clearly that the mentalist has the paper and the spectator has the rock. It also states, of course, that the scissors card is in the bag. This is just an example. It's a real surprise. A triple hit.
