The power of thought or cosmic energy – that is question with this trick. The magician takes a ballpoint pen and places it horizontally on top of a bottle.
The magician shows that both his hands are empty and moves them towards the ballpoint pen.
At a distance of several centimetres, i.e. without getting too close to the pen, the magician now causes his cosmic energy to act on the pen, which begins to move mysteriously and finally falls off the bottle.
Another demonstration of the concentrated energy: The ballpoint pen is placed on the bottle, the magician borrows a bangle from a female member of the audience. The energy is then concentrated in the centre of the bangle. The magician moves the bangle along the pen, which begins to turn slowly at first, then spins wildly, until it falls off the bottle.
Is the female spectator in on the plot? No, this is proven by a third experiment: This time the energy is concentrated in a borrowed tumbler. It flows from there to the ballpoint pen, which begins to spin on the bottle and finally falls off.
